Yesterday, Project HOPE School Foundation was able to assist in helping a well deserving family avoid eviction from their apartment. This Project HOPE School family (whose name will remain anonymous) has had two children graduate from Project HOPE School and two who still attend the school. These hard working individuals went through a great amount of hardship in order to transition from homelessness (staying at the catholic worker home, Isaiah House) to a stable living environment. They fell a bit behind on their rent and were in jeopardy of another eviction. Project HOPE School Foundation was able to pay the past due amount and give this commendable family a helping hand.

Rick Rojas wrote a wonderful piece in the LA Times last week about School on Wheels, a nonprofit agency in LA County, which strives to fight for the education of homeless children in Southern California. Don’t forget to register for Ralph’s Community Contribution Program! Proceeds are available to benefit Project HOPE School! All you need to do is go to www.ralphs.com, click on Services, click Community Contributions, click on “For participants questions, click here”. It’s a simple way to help the kids at Project HOPE School as you shop!

All participants are required to reregister every September. So even if you’ve registered in the past, it’s time to renew your support!
